Today is International Women’s Day. On this day each year, we acknowledge and celebrate women, and recommit ourselves to help them achieve their needs and aspirations.
This year in particular, we are Celebrating SG Women. This campaign will champion women and their role in shaping Singapore, and the indelible mark they will leave in our future. The goal is shaping a more equitable and inclusive society, and a culture of mutual respect for all.
I have had the privilege of meeting many women contributing in diverse roles to the nation. From community leaders to everyday homemakers, you have all played a part in making Singapore that we know today, and I’m excited to see where we will go from here! – LHL
